Green Hive visit

We recently welcomed Green Hive for a tour of the mill. Led by our Joint MD Scott Gordon and Sales Manager Jamie McKinnon, they were shown the process that each log goes through, from arriving in the log yard to being processed throughout the mill.

Green Hive are a local charity based in Nairn, who work on various environmental projects ranging from beach cleaning, to recycling and upcycling of waste plastic and fabrics.

They are also looking at ways of incorporating wood into some of their designs, and we are delighted to have been able to offer a donation of timber that they will be able to use in upcoming projects. Sustainability and care for the environment are key to what we do at Gordon Timber so it is great to be able to work with an organisation also playing its part in greener production methods.

Gordon Timber are glad to be able to contribute towards the sponsorship of Green Hive’s Trainee Program 2023, as we are always looking for more ways to work with and support the local community.
