Gordon Timber, based in Nairn in the Highlands of Scotland, have a long history of supplying high quality softwood timber. Founded in 1862 and, since the late 1880s, managed by four generations of the same family, the company is now recognised as one of the top sawmilling companies in the UK.
Products
Our core business is converting roundwood grown in the North of Scotland into a comprehensive range of high quality sawn timber products for the construction, fencing and packaging markets.
The Process
The company carries out sawmilling on the Nairn site, converting round logs into sawn timber products. Gordon Timber have a programme of on-going investment in order to maximise site capacity.
Environment
Timber is the planet’s most environmentally friendly building material, requiring much less energy to produce than alternatives such as plastic, steel and concrete.
