Gordon Timber Appoints Johnny Dean as New CEO

Gordon Timber, one of the UK’s leading sawmilling businesses based in Nairn, Highlands, is pleased to announce the appointment of Johnny Dean as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This marks a significant transition for the family-owned company of over 160 years standing, as Scott and Rod Gordon, who have served as Joint Managing Directors for 25 years, become Executive Directors.

Rod is now stepping back from his operational role to concentrate on strategic priorities whilst Scott continues with his responsibility for Cap-Ex and Sales.

Johnny Dean brings a wealth of experience to his new position, having been with Gordon Timber for seventeen years. Throughout his tenure, he has played a pivotal role as a senior manager and has overseen the Company’s harvesting operations, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in the business.

Scott and Rod Gordon expressed their confidence in Johnny’s leadership, stating:
