Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Labourer. This role provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to develop their skills and gain experience in a fast-paced sawmill environment. Full training will be provided, making it an ideal position for those looking to start or build a career in the timber industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the operation of machinery and equipment.
  • Handle, sort, and stack timber products safely and efficiently.
  • Perform general labouring tasks, including maintaining work areas.
  • Support the production team by ensuring materials are prepared and available as needed.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Carry out additional duties as required to support the smooth running of the sawmill.
  • Support stock control processes for incoming and outgoing materials

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential:
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a physically demanding role.
  • Desirable:
  • Previous experience in a labouring or industrial environment.
