John Gordon & Son have a long history of supplying high quality softwood timber. Founded in 1860 and, since 1880, managed by four generations of the same family, the company is now recognised as one of the top sawmilling companies in the UK.
The company's core business is converting roundwood grown in the North of Scotland, into a comprehensive range of high quality sawn timber products for the construction, fencing and packaging markets.
In 1998 a £3 million investment in state of the art Scandinavian production and sorting facilities saw production capacity increase by over 50%. This was followed in subsequent years by a further £1 million worth of improvements in stocking, treatment and cross cutting facilities to provide and exceptionally efficient processing unit.
These key investments operated and managed by a highly motivated workforce have led to the marketing of our products throughout the UK.
